Russia Rejects Cryptocurrency As Authorities Block Access to Exchanges
Cointelegraph reports that the Bank of Russia is working with the country’s general prosecutor to block all exchanges offering Russians the opportunity to buy and sell cryptocurrency.
Russian Central Bank First Deputy Governor Sergei Shvetsov said:
"We can not give direct and easy access to such dubious instruments for retail (investors)."
The good news is that fortunately Russia wasn't a major force in crypto to begin with so it shouldn't have too much effect on the markets...at the very least, they are things people care about...like them BITGOLDS.
Mastercard CEO Attacks Bitcoin
More attacks on Bitcoin! Ajay Banga, CEO of Mastercard, has leveled a scathing attack on any and all cryptocurrencies that are not government mandated, calling them “junk”.
You can read more about this here.
(I had to use the picture below, Ajay looks like he's winding up his backhand to give Bitcoin the pimp smack of a century.)
