COIN BULLETIN
Coinbase Enables 'Instant' Purchases for US Buyers
Coinbase has announced that some users will now be able to access "instant" purchases of bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin. Hurray!
From their announcement:
"We are excited to announce the ability for customers to instantly purchase digital currency using a US bank account. Previously, customers who purchased using a bank account had to wait several days before receiving their digital currency. Customers can now buy up to $25,000* and receive access to their digital currency immediately."
You will receive an email when instant purchases become available for your account.
Just a word of caution, this now means you can lose your money much faster, so you will have to try twice as hard not to succumb to emotional purchases.
Anyways, you can check out their announcement here.
PBoC Digital Currency Director Calls for Centralized State Cryptocurrency
According to CoinDesk, "Yao Qian, the Director of the Digital Currency Research Institute under the People's Bank of China, reportedly boasted about the potential of a state-owned digital currency, while suggesting that there is an inherent lack of value anchoring public cryptocurrencies like bitcoin."
This makes sense, China may not recognize bitcoin as a legal currency, but they recognize the opportunity on the table and they don't want to be left behind.
South Korea Deems Overseas ICOs Illegal
Previous reports suggested that they were preparing to restrict Korean ICOs, but it looks like they have actually decided to restrict all ICOs.
The Financial Services Commission said yesterday that:
"As the government prepares for the banning of domestic ICOs, it will be illegal for our nationals to participate in ICOs abroad."

Bitcoin Is Now Bigger Than Morgan Stanley
From ZeroHedge:
"On the back of (unconfirmed) rumors suggesting China may back down from its harsh stance of ICOs and crypto exchanges following this week's National Congress, the price of Bitcoin soared overnight, testing near $5900 before falling back a little this morning."
Bitcoin's market cap above $90 billion for the first time, surpassing PayPal, Netflix, and Morgan Stanley.
